Donald Trump, the US president, has openly called for the collapse of the Iranian ayatollah regime, which has ignited the country's bloody conflict. "We need a new leader!" - his call sounds like thunder in the silence.
37 years of ayatollah rule have brought Iran to its knees. Mass protests have been brutally suppressed. Many have had the courage to speak out, but the brutality of the system has silenced them. “A new leader is needed in Iran,” Trump said, saying it is time to openly face the truth.
He responded to attacks by Ayatollah Khamenei, who tried to blame the killings of protesters on the United States. “You, Ayatollah, rely on violence and repression to destroy your country,” Trump sternly warned.
“True leadership lies in serving the people, not in killing,” he stressed, accusing Khamenei of creating hell on earth. Khamenei, he said, is a “sick man” who cannot fulfill his duty.
The protests in Iran are not just popular anger. They are a revolt against irrational governance and endless terror. Needless to say, the regime responds with unfathomable cruelty: torture, executions, drowning the voice of protest in blood.
The figures suggest that thousands of lives may have been lost, while the Iranian authorities insist that everything is stable. But the truth is simple: Iran is once again sinking into chaos. Trump has become the latest to call for action: “Keep fighting! Take over the institutions!” Fueling the protesters’ hopes, he has announced his readiness to help.
Freedom against irresponsibility. Truth against violence. And sooner or later peace will come to Iran. A regime that takes life cannot last forever.
