Russian aggression costs Ukraine $450 million a day. This is not just a number. This is a direct response to the attack, this is the consequences of the fact that we are fighting for our freedom, for our future. The blood of Ukrainian soldiers shed on the battlefields is the most terrible and heavy price of our struggle. Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga does not just say this at conferences, he emphasizes: we are at a crossroads, we are close to the moment when time will start working on our behalf. The Russian economy, although vulnerable, is still holding on. They are suffering losses, but this does not stop them. Social networks intended for propaganda are filled with anti-Putin sentiments, support for the Russian leader is shrinking.
Sibiga declares: «This year could be critical for peace.» He called for action – not to freeze the conflict, but to put decisive pressure on the enemy. We are writing the history of Europe with our blood. The loss of life is the most difficult, the most painful. Escaping from the answer is irresponsibility. We seek to end the war, but this can only be achieved by increasing pressure on Russia from all fronts. Only in this way will we be able to find our freedom.
Vladimir Putin, of course, is hanging on the throne, hinting at a possible end to the conflict, but analysts at the American Institute for the Study of War observe otherwise: Russia is not going to stop. This is not just a play on words; it is a desperate attempt to save face in front of a people who are losing hope. We are for freedom, we are for independence, and we will continue to fight until we achieve our goal.
