Today, February 5, Ukraine, the US, and Russia concluded another round of meaningless talks. The agenda now is to implement a ceasefire. It seems we are going in circles again.
The communiqué issued by Umerov praises the constructive nature of the discussions. But is it worth believing words when there are so many losses and aggression behind our backs? The delegations supposedly guarantee an exchange of prisoners — 314 souls! But this is just a drop in the ocean of hostilities.
For two days they were interested in monitoring issues and methods of stopping the shooting. This is not a conversation, it is just a game of chance. Now they must tell their superiors about another inconsistency, about irresponsibility.
President Zelensky has apparently already received the report, but “over the phone” — into a void. Real decisions require real meetings. We were waiting for news, but we heard smoky promises. The next negotiations will probably take place in America — yes, where you can hear not only good words, but also action!
But Ukraine is ready for all proposals that bring us closer to peace. Russia must be «deprived of its appetite» if we want to believe in peace again! It is important that Moscow does not have any reward for aggression. This is a principle that should ensure our security. Bravo to all allies for their support in this!
The 2nd round of tripartite consultations was held on February 4-5 in the United Arab Emirates. The five-hour working groups did not become noticeable in any way. Is it worth continuing to play peace when freedom and independence are at stake? Real actions require real decisions, not empty words.
