In the Kirovohrad region, in particular, in one of the villages of the Subotsivska community, an 11-month-old child was admitted to the intensive care unit due to nitrate poisoning. Blueness of the skin, general weakness - this is the second alarming case in the region. What's wrong?

All this is the result of irresponsibility. The laboratories reported: the nitrate content in the water from the local well is almost twice as high as the norm. The question immediately arises about quality, about safety! Why should we have to deal with such risks when it comes to the life of a child? And what about the parents who are not aware of the danger?

The child is currently in moderate condition — we are waiting and observing. But the previous emergency treatment kept it under control and raised new questions. It turns out that a similar case was recently recorded in a three-month-old baby. Both incidents are related to the consumption of well water for cooking. This is not just a coincidence!

Methemoglobinemia is a scary word out of context. Here it is: blueness, vomiting, diarrhea. It does not choose - it affects infants and children under three years old. Nitrates in food are poison that we consume through negligence. But we can change something. Don't let yourself give up on safety.

There are rules that can prevent this catastrophe. They may seem banal, but they are reality. Eliminate unsafe water from your children's diet. Say "no" to well water of dubious quality! Bottled or laboratory-tested water is our weapon. Forget about canned purees that have been stored for a long time. Choosing safe feeding is your responsibility!

Breast milk is your shield during the most vulnerable months of life. Remain aware of this fact. Your freedom is to live without poison, without fear.

Don't forget: the truth often does not accept compromises. But the system usually turns a blind eye to the obvious. We must stand up for the truth, for an open fight against imitations of a safe environment. This is our common cause.
