Kudrytskyi remained in custody – the truth is not on the side of the system

The situation with Volodymyr Kudrytsky is evidence of the deep gulf between truth and imitation. The court denied the lawyers' request for a personal commitment, despite their attempts to set the framework of their duties. Prosecutors, as always, are waiting for changes - but they left everything unchanged. As a result, Kudrytsky remains in custody, although the bail was reduced to 7 million 736 thousand hryvnias. Perhaps the court in its decisions places more weight on itself than on the stupidity of free words?

What happened before is another story, but it is surprisingly important. October 28 is the day the State Bureau of Investigation detained Kudrytsky. On October 29, the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv decided that he should be placed under arrest for 60 days with the possibility of redemption. But on October 30, as often happens in the shadow of the system, the situation changed – bail of 13.7 million hryvnias was paid, and Kudrytsky was free from pre-trial detention. The next day, he finally made a public statement, the first since his release, but did those who can really change things for the better hear his words?

And on November 7, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is already voicing his attitude towards Kudrytsky and his role in the security of the Ukrainian energy sector. The question arises: when will real responsibility be asserted for actions for which, probably, the entire people will pay in the future? Politics and justice should unite, and not leave us alone with our fears. True independence is not about weakening the backbone of the state, but about strength and justice. Justice that does not impose the possibility of redemption, but rigidly defines the rules of the game. Are we finally ready to stand up for the truth?
