The issue of creating a “free trade zone” in Donbas has still not been resolved. This is what the negotiations between Ukraine and the US are guided by, but the masks have been dropped – no illusions. The US President admits that the situation is difficult, but does not back down. Everyone is at the table, but you can’t hide the truth. Trump claims: “95% issues have been resolved,” but he knows – there are still a few difficult moments that burn the air.
Zelensky is not silent; Ukraine's position is clear as never before. Respect for the law, respect for people. The opinion of Ukrainians about Donbas is unchanging - it is not a subject of bargaining. The President adds: territorial issues, nuclear security, guarantees are "red lines" that will not be crossed. Nothing less is at stake.
At the press conference after the meeting, Zelensky speaks frankly: security issues are agreed upon at 100%. The general peace plan is brought to life at 90%. Unbreakable things - Donbas and the ZNPP - appear as stumbling blocks. Enough with this imitation of agreements. It's time to act, not sow illusions.
The real fight lies ahead. When it comes to freedom and independence, words are left aside. This is a test of strength. Ukraine needs real solutions, not compromises that lead to irresponsibility. Sometimes in history there are moments when you need to stand up for your rights – Donbas will be such a moment.
