Today, business in Ukraine is facing a terrible reality. Power outages turn companies into victims of an irresponsible system. 80% members of the European Business Association openly declare: power outages put them in danger. The increase in the cost of production by 10–30% is not just numbers, it is facts that kill.
61% businesses are ringing the bells due to a sharp increase in costs. 58% are suffering due to constant changes in work schedules. Half of them are forced to reduce production volumes, the other half are experiencing paralysis - downtime. Where is the role of the state? Where is its responsibility?
According to the survey, 90% companies are already trying to find a way out by investing in alternative energy sources. But only 23% have managed to become completely energy independent. Energy storage and solar panels are steps towards freedom, but fuel and biogas remain on the sidelines. How much longer will we endure?
Continuing to compete with a soulless system, business requires financial support. Compensation for the costs of backup power sources, the abolition of customs duties and VAT on energy equipment are becoming urgent requests. No one will wait for the next schedule of outages. This is a blatant violation of fundamental rights!
We are fighting for economic freedom, for the right to survive. Enough of imitations and promises. Only actions will change this paradigm. The state must hear us and not compromise with irresponsibility.
As ZAXID.NET reported, on January 21, one of the largest mining companies in Ukraine, Ferrexpo, temporarily stopped operations due to power outages.
