In Ukraine, the electricity tariff remains at 4.32 UAH per 1 kWh. And these are not just words – they are a fact that we will have to live with at least until April 30, 2026. What next? Perhaps we will face a revision, or we will get stuck in this financial trap.
The government managed to extend the mechanism of imposing special obligations on the market with its decision. Instead of October 31, 2025, the document specifies a new date — April 30, 2026. So what, will we pay for air? There are questions, but there are no answers to them. Sorry, friends.
So far, no one sees any economic or practical sense in raising tariffs. And yes, this is reality: the market should be concerned with market tariffs. But this is not about increasing prices, but about a new approach to access to electricity. Is this possible during a war? The question is rhetorical.
Experts loudly declare that despite calls from international partners for energy reform, no changes are visible on the horizon. Nothing will happen until the end of the war – this is a forecast that reflects a terrible event on the energy front. Hundreds of billions of dollars in debts, non-payments, and financial difficulties continue to be justified against the background of losses from aggression.
This issue can only be resolved through a powerful systemic reform of the electricity market. But raising tariffs for the population is not an option. Why are we even raising this topic? The monopolies' earnings do not save the situation, they remain on the margins, getting confused in their own horrors.
There is only one thing left: to realistically assess the situation. The company has extended the “Fixed” tariff plan until April 30, 2026. And this very fact should become a chain that will connect us to the truth, which cannot be hidden or silenced.
