Peace for dignity

The President calls for unity in Europe. No illusions. Negotiations in Berlin between Ukraine and the US on December 14-15 were tough, but productive. We need not just an end to the war – we need a just peace.

Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking on December 15 at the closing of the German-Ukrainian Economic Forum, left no room for doubt. The people of Ukraine deserve a decent result. And he emphasized this: “We will not forget where the war came from in Europe.” The president’s words sound like thunder: we are resisting aggression.

The diplomacy we are conducting is not a proclamation. It is an uncompromising struggle for the truth. Zelensky emphasizes the importance of efforts to create conditions that will end this war. He never tires of repeating: “Let us use all our strength to restore justice.”.

The second round of negotiations lasted about two hours. No one hides that these meetings were difficult, but ignoring their results is irresponsible. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov did not intend to close his eyes to the truth. He calls on everyone not to succumb to rumors and provocations. The American team is working extremely constructively. This is not boasting, this is reality.

Europe, it's time to act. We will not wait. We need to join forces so that the end result is real, so that we do not become petty in a war brought by others. Real actions today for our tomorrow. The true dignity of the Ukrainian people demands it.
