Shelling and blackouts: we will not make concessions

Strong winds and heavy sleet have taken a toll — 215 communities are without electricity. This is not just a statistic, it is a sign of our struggle.

On December 29, under the blows of the attack and the intricacies of the weather, Ukraine feels the full weight of hourly and emergency outages. Those who need energy for work - again capacity restrictions. Ukrenergo and the Ministry of Energy remind: we are resisting the system that is trying to break us.

Here's what happened last week: Russian troops poured war on our energy infrastructure every day. One massive attack and over 43 targeted strikes were recorded. About 118 facilities and networks were damaged. The aggressor does not stop for a moment in striking us. Four strikes in particular hit Naftogaz facilities - Kherson CHPP, the only source of heat for the city. The elimination of the consequences continues, one of the workers is receiving medical care. This is the price of our resistance. In the Kyiv region, over 9 thousand consumers remain without electricity.

But that's not all. Emergency outages are already affecting Sumy, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions. Here, schedules are not working as usual, they are subject to the conditions of hostilities. In Sumy region, outages for the first five shifts have been introduced since 09:24. Oblenergo emphasizes: this outage has nothing to do with the previous schedules. Poltava region began operating from 09:45. Corrections will be made only after the breakdowns are eliminated.

Kharkiv and the region — stability is under threat. Here, despite the use of emergency shutdowns, schedules continue to operate. But can we hope for silence? In the Kyiv «war zone,» electricity is in continuous motion. The left bank is the land of emergency shutdowns, the right bank is stabilization. Schedules change, like circumstances. We cannot stop.

No one needs to be told that we will not make concessions. In Ukraine, the blackout schedules continue on December 29, and we will not allow the aggressor to break our spirit. We are here, and we will not submit.
