Germany has announced its 10-point plan aimed at strengthening military cooperation with Ukraine. And this is not just a report on paper - it is a manifesto of strength, which has already been presented to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
A strong Ukrainian defense industry is not just a matter of national pride. It is our line of defense against Russian aggression. It is a security guarantee that deters the potential threat looming over us. The words from the German plan are a declaration: we will not be left alone in the fight for independence.
The document envisages closer cooperation in military research, joint ventures and procurement. Germany is open to the use of federal investment guarantees. These are not promises, these are concrete steps.
Moreover, Berlin is ready for joint purchases of Ukrainian military products. As part of the European Sky Shield initiative, this includes, in particular, interceptor drones. Protecting NATO airspace is our common goal that cannot be delayed.
According to this plan, the defense ministries of both countries will meet for consultations almost daily. A representative office of the Ukrainian defense industry, Ukraine Freedom House, will appear in Berlin. This is not just an office, but a platform for the development of intensive ties in the defense sector.
Germany is expanding the presence of military attaches in Kyiv and increasing the exchange of experts. All these steps are voices of freedom, speaking out against a system that threatens our independence.
Let's not forget about corruption. Germany, together with Ukraine, plans to take measures to prevent it. This is the key to success.
And now an important detail: the Bundestag has supported the budget for 2026, with a record amount of aid for Ukraine. Next year, Germany will invest 11.5 billion euros in our fight.
The realm of literature and talk of the past is not our path. Today we choose to act, not just talk. The time has come to pave the way to victory.
