This new reality requires manual control of drones. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Defense Directorate opens the veil of secrecy: an interactive diagram and electronic component database of the Russian Geran-2 UAV equipped with a portable anti-aircraft missile system have been revealed. Let us recall that all these burning victims from the battlefield were revealed on Monday, January 12.

Until now, we knew about the Geran-2 with the Soviet R-60 missile. Today, we have new details: the Verba MANPADS is installed on board. This means that the operator can now conduct a real battle, controlling the entire operation in real time. The end of illusions!

To detect air targets, the Chinese optical camera Honpho TS130C-01 appears, located in the nose fairing, in a duet with the Xingkay Tech XK-F358 mesh modem. Up to the fatality of everything!

The operator activates two services: the first starts the chemical battery and nitrogen cylinder to cool the homing head, the second opens the protective cover. And the trigger? Hold on! It is fixed in a permanent position, ensuring automatic launch immediately after capturing the target. Let's go without compromise!

It is worth noting that this modification, unlike the one with the R-60, has a real warhead. The GUR says this without embellishment: the thermobaric TBBCH-50M warhead allows the drone not only to fire, but also to continue performing its main tasks! The operator can target the target at any time.

The standard set of blocks continues to impress us: a flight controller, an inertial navigation system, a Raspberry-based tracker and 3G/4G modems. The new version features an innovative 6-axis inertial system SCH1633-D0I from Murata from Japan. This module has found successful application in autonomous cars and modern driver assistance structures.

Electronics? Definitely – the USA, China, Switzerland, Taiwan, Japan, Germany, Great Britain. And again – an international field!

Sergey Beskrestnov, our hero of radio technology, reveals the secrets of Russian Shaheds from MANPADS. The drone operator does not lack energy: the “good course camera” is watching, and the MANPADS is waiting for its hour. Everything is ready for launch!

Let us recall that Russia has previously equipped the "Shaheeds" with PTM-3 anti-tank mine cassettes, but this is a different battle.
