Merz advocates a truce without concessions

Friedrich Merz, Chancellor of Germany, without shackled diplomacy and beautiful words, announced a sequence of actions that should stop Russian aggression in Ukraine. Frankly, simply and without illusions. Together with representatives of Ukraine and leading European countries, a clear strategic vision was restored - five inalienable goals that are not subject to discussion. The war continues, but now there is a possibility of a real peace process.

The meeting in Berlin demonstrated: He, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, along with Donald Trump's team, were the ones who built this "positive dynamic." The direct participation of these individuals is the key to a solution that could give Ukraine a chance for real peace. And there is no room for maneuver here — Russia, manipulating time, continues its brutal aggression, so Ukrainians, Europeans and Americans unite, and foreign demands will not sway us from our course.

A ceasefire that preserves Ukraine's sovereignty is the first goal. Guarantees that resemble Article 5 of the Washington Treaty would be a second important step. Merz made it clear: the US is ready to assume legal obligations. Forget Minsk. Here we are on the threshold of a new stage.

Merz emphasizes: the conditions of the ceasefire are formed jointly, without instructions from the outside. This is our success, outlined by a common understanding. And these are not just good intentions - NATO and the EU are called to remain a strong force in the world, and the ceasefire should become a catalyst for further unity, not its weakening. The European perspective for Ukraine is not a dream, but a reality waiting to be realized.

But the issue of territories is a nuclear problem that requires an answer that only the Ukrainian people can give. Merz raises this sensitive topic again: Ukraine must resolve its territorial issues on its own. No concessions, no compromises, because it is a matter of honor.

Progress continues. No one has the right to ignore the pressure on Russia. The Europeans will not lower the temperature, because this is a matter not only for Ukraine, but also for the future of all of Europe. Using frozen Russian assets to supply weapons to Ukraine is a step in the right direction. Merz emphasizes that the legal basis is there, we will not wait for another step back.

Negotiations with the US have undergone changes: the issue of concessions has become a thing of the past. We are not standing still, we are moving forward. Ukraine and Russia have different views on the territory, and this problem cannot be silenced. And even more so cannot be a bargaining chip in the negotiations.

We are making our demands. We are fighting for the truth. And if we are together, we are strong. Strong in the fight for justice, independence, and peace without imitation. Our position is clear — strength against irresponsibility. And we will not stop.
