Dubnevich's gas scam

While MP Yaroslav Dubnevych is hiding abroad, his relatives are actively expanding their business in Ukraine. The Lviv company "Single Energy Company" announces its intention to extract natural gas on the Drohobych Square. This territory, which has never been subjected to industrial development, is located on the oil and gas front near Drohobych, Stryi and Medenychi. It should be noted that this mining company is associated with Dubnevych, who was fleeing justice on corruption charges, and with someone from the Procykevych family.

No more, no less – the plans of the «United Energy Company» include drilling up to ten wells in the territory of three communities. Gas production is considered the main goal, first exploration, and then industrial production. A total of 361 km2, obtained under control thanks to the charter of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil, was not in vain, of course. But why ask?

According to the Vkursi platform data, the company owns 6.18 hectares in the village of Voroblevychi. A location where many people already dream of assets. And the company "ENK" is registered at the address of a completely inconspicuous Internet provider "Bit" in Lviv. Strange, don't you agree?

Among the owners is Serhiy Pyrtko, Dubnevich's matchmaker. His son Mykhailo married the deputy's daughter. It's hard to believe that in such a family business everything is done with a clear conscience. Serhiy Pyrtko used to run distilleries, even with shortcomings, but now he has organized an entire empire.

So, while one is hiding, his godfathers, matchmakers, and relatives are successfully preparing new gas kickback schemes for themselves. Criminal prosecution does not at all interfere with building a business empire. «Why not?» you ask. But it shouldn’t be like that!

In February 2022, Dubnevych was charged with embezzling Ukrzaliznytsia funds. Already in October 2023, he was accused of embezzling an incredible UAH 2.1 billion in gas. But does it matter? Dubnevych knows that by fleeing abroad, he can continue to play by his own rules. And what about those who remained? It remains to be seen how one system deals with another.
