The discussion of the demilitarized zone in Donbas remained in the shadows. No one intends to compromise when it comes to independence! Our territory, our dignity. Negotiations are currently underway on a free economic zone, and this is our first step towards recognizing the truth. There is already a clear vision of ceasefire monitoring, provided by our partners. Zelensky is not silent: this is a clear understanding that Ukraine's security is in the hands not only of our efforts, but also of international allies who are ready to provide technical monitoring.
But let's not be afraid of the question of who will control the demilitarized zone. Secrets are still ahead, and for now everything is limited to discussing the free economic zone. Perhaps, other people's "dreams" about the absence of military forces in our state are their walk into the world of illusions. Yes, the Russians want us not to be on our land, but we remain here. Their plans are just a fiction, and our territorial integrity is a reality for which we are fighting, and we are acting in the interests of Ukraine.
Western media is flooded with reports about a possible 40-kilometer buffer zone. But this is not quite what we need. Why stumble over conventions when our will is worth more than all their peacekeepers? Of course, we, Ukraine, are ready for solutions, but only with honor! A possible demilitarized zone in Donbas is not just a territorial concession, it is a state of forced compromise.
The US peace plan is full of conditions: the withdrawal of troops exclusively from their side! All this indicates one simple truth: we are a force capable of making decisions without outside interference. Ukrainian land remains ours. Above us is our independence and our truth. Not a single step back - only forward!
