In the Kamensk-Shakhtynskyi colony, two lives became victims of torture. One of the deceased was a soldier, the other a civilian. Maksym Vashchenko, a civilian prisoner, gave his last in the ugly mechanism of torture. He had been in captivity since 2022, captured by the occupiers who did not know what honor and dignity were.<\/p>\n
Vashchenko, a participant in the ATO, but not a military man at the time of the large-scale invasion. He did not take up arms, but ended up in the hands of the punishers. According to the military, Nikita Pushkarev, a colony employee, became his executioner. The man who refused food was intimidated and despaired. He looked as if he was already saying goodbye to life. How can you beat a man who is already on the verge of death? <\/p>\n
The stories from witnesses are horrific. Vashchenko was beaten, forced to eat, and bread was thrown into his mouth, supposedly to make it easier to survive. And when he refused, hell began. Pushkarev swung a stick at him more than twenty times until he fell. His fellow prisoners tried to resuscitate him, but prison medicine was not interested. As always, life is worthless in the eyes of the executioners.<\/p>\n
An examination is underway in this terrible place, which should answer the question: why? But who has time for questions when the truth is on the side of the outspoken executioners? <\/p>\n
But this is not the end! In May 2023, prisoner of war Serhiy Grigoriev died in the colony. With the protection of Ukraine since 2019, he was captured in Mariupol. Russia carefully prepared a death certificate, where it recorded a "stroke". But the Ukrainian forensic examination revealed the truth. The death was violent. Closed abdominal trauma, internal bleeding - the result of inhuman treatment.<\/p>\n
In captivity, Serhiy became a victim of the red corridors, places where torture was commonplace. Everyone who passed through these corridors received a beating, leaving serious marks on their body and soul. He was transferred to the punishment block, and in the end, Serhiy could not stand it.<\/p>\n
The family only learned of his death later, when one of the soldiers returned home. <\/p>\n
The Prosecutor General's Office has already counted - 384 people have returned from the colony. But behind this figure there is suffering, abuse, blood. This place is not just a colony, it is a factory of death. There is a chain of custody: sticks, blows, electric shock - somewhere deep in the system, military and civilians are systematically destroyed.<\/p>\n
The truth is shockingly simple: there is no humanity here, there is no compassion here. The world realizes that torture methods cannot remain unpunished. This is a call to action, to oppose the system. Every blow, every drop of blood is our witness, our obligation to resist.
