Finnish President Alexander Stubb is leaving no stone unturned in claiming that Vladimir Putin has failed miserably in his military ambitions. At the Ukrainian Breakfast in Davos, he boldly emphasized that the Kremlin leader has failed on all fronts of his plan. Ukraine will not be a front for the Russian empire! Instead, it will become part of the European Union.
Putin wanted to contain NATO, but his efforts only strengthened the Alliance - Finland and Sweden joined its ranks, increasing its military power. All his global expansion turned out to be nothing more than a mirage. Look at what is happening in Central Asia and the South Caucasus, his ambitions are disappearing like smoke. Iran, Syria, Venezuela - these are not successful campaigns, but highlighting the Kremlin's crisis failures.
Stubb does not sympathize with the gossip about the supposed victory of Russia. Rights against imitation! He claims: during a thousand days of war, Russia has advanced by as much as one percent, and its losses reach a thousand killed every day. Fantasies like “Russian victory” are shattered by reality, where 20 thousand Soviet soldiers died in Afghanistan in ten years. The situation in the Russian economy is only getting worse - the times of harsh reality have come.
It's time to reject self-deception! This is a war for independence and truth, which requires action, not inaction.
