Manipulation is on the scene again. This time, the target is people's emotions and fears. Letters about an alleged “complete power outage” in western Ukraine are spreading like rumors in a crowd. But this is a fake. This is an attempt to destabilize the country and incite panic. The Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine is not ignoring this.
“Official notifications” are sent via email, but the reality is that there is no confirmation of any planned actions from the Ministry of Energy, the power system operator, the OVA, or the regional energy companies. As their research showed, as of 12:00 on January 17, there is no confirmation.
And so, despite this disinformation, we receive news of emergency outages in Kyiv, Kyiv, Odessa and Sumy regions. The Russian attacks on energy infrastructure last night have shown again how vulnerable we can be. But we must remain strong, believe in the truth and not succumb to manipulation.
Let's not allow our consciousness to be neglected. Resist the system, reveal the truth! And not succumb to this imitation, which seems like an attempt at pressure. We are the truth, and the truth is our strength.
