The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine’s Committee on National Security and Defense rejected President Volodymyr Zelensky’s proposal to dismiss Vasyl Malyuk from the position of head of the Security Service. Fedir Venislavsky, a people’s deputy and member of the committee, clearly stated: “Not supported.” They were not afraid to flaunt their decision: “to recommend to the Verkhovna Rada to include the issue on the agenda and decide by vote.”.
In opposition to the resignation – 7 “for”, 6 “against”, 2 abstained. They demonstrated true independence. What is needed so that 226 people’s deputies are not found for dismissal? The government is in full swing, and the people’s deputies are worried about whether there will be votes for dismissal. This is not just a game – it is a game of survival.
Before that, on January 9, the Verkhovna Rada received Zelensky's proposal to dismiss Malyuk. Ruslan Stefanchuk assured that the issue would be considered soon. And here again, on January 5, the president met with Malyuk, talking about the future of the SBU, but instead Malyuk had already spoken about his resignation. He is not leaving the system! He is staying to continue carrying out special operations, causing maximum damage to the enemy.
The deputies were divided. Many opposed the release of Malyuk, because he has successful operations against Russia. This is not just about positions - it is about faith. And on the same day, rumors appeared about the future of Denys Shmyhal, the Minister of Defense, whom the president sees in a new position. The head of state thanked Shmyhal for his active work.
So, today is a struggle. A struggle for truth, for true service. Because each of us has the right to know who will go through this hell and who will remain on the pedestal of imitation. There is no place for the weak-minded in this slaughterhouse, and only those who have the strength and will can move forward.
