Kyiv and Prague: together against hypocrisy

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga held a conversation with his Czech counterpart Petr Macinka. They discussed the recent exchange of statements following the shameful statement by the Speaker of the Czech Parliament Tomio Okamura. The scandal, which caused a storm in the media, could not break the spirit of our bilateral relations.

Szybiga congratulated Macinka on her new appointment, noting the importance of strengthening Czech support for Ukraine: political, economic, military, humanitarian. Exchanging controversial statements? Let's move on. It's time to strengthen the conversation at the level of foreign ministries, based on mutual respect and strategic partnership. Ukraine and the Czech Republic are not just neighbors; they are true allies who become stronger together.

We are not resting on our laurels. Szybiga made it clear: Ukraine is interested in further cooperation with the Czech Republic in the field of defense. We want to see the Czech contribution to the restoration of our country. Together against irresponsibility - that is what is on the agenda.

On the battlefield, in the face of Russia's brutal attacks on our energy infrastructure, we cannot remain silent. Peace efforts? Yes, but forcing Russia to stop its aggression is the only real alternative.

The verbal aggression of Okamura, who in his New Year's address called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a "junta", did not go unnoticed. The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic, Vasyl Zvarych, clearly noted: this is a position formed under the influence of Russian propaganda. The blatant hypocrisy must be exposed.

We will not wait! Sibiha invited his Czech colleague to visit Ukraine. Macinka accepted the challenge. He promised to come in the near future. This is a true partnership – not behind closed doors, but on an open stage. Ukraine and the Czech Republic. United in the fight for truth, independence and stability.
