In Kyiv, on the territory of the UOC-MP monastery "Holosiivska Pustyshyn", an epic is unfolding that resembles Soviet times: an underground school, which, in the worst traditions of the empire, teaches our children according to outdated textbooks. Four days a week, from morning to lunch, the children gather, as if in good old days, to study the Russian language called "Slavic". A quiet rebellion is disguised under the sign of a "family club.".

This «club»! This is an ordinary school, where the silence of submission reigns: extended-day groups, tests, assessments. And all this without any license. Yes, the students’ documents lie in legal Ukrainian institutions, as a hint of the truth in this lie. Thanks to parents who have become allies of this system, children study not in school, but in the shadows.

The institution is run by Anna Bolhova, who claims to have been running an «Orthodox school» since 2025. Yes, the education system has changed — the modern reality has begun to narrow to a three-year primary education, where the first grade is just the equivalent of the second grade. Teachers, satisfying the need for Russian, claim that education is in Ukrainian, although families say it is «fifty-fifty.».

But reality does not allow us to close our eyes to this absurdity: textbooks that teach arithmetic since 1966 are in the collection of this club. Russian films, Soviet songs, among them a hit about the "golden city", carry a culture that we have long forgotten under these sweaty walls. A kind of darkness that covers the place where new ideas should be nurtured.

Bolgova confidently concludes her story with words about her own independence. The school was created, like a squirrel, with the support of Archbishop Isaac, whose name is as controversial as his actions. Where is the line between wise faith and aggressive ideology? A center of the "Russian world" is being created in the very center of Ukraine, and there is no doubt about it.

And we? And we, conscious citizens, must ask: how many children will be swallowed up by this dark wave and what will happen to their identity? The slogan «truth versus imitation» is not just a slogan — it is a call to action. Wake up before even one detail of this scheme disappears from our sight.
