Unfortunately, there is still room for occupation in Mariupol. The Russian invaders, who have taken root in our city, have decided to increase the heating and water tariffs. Yes, to finish off those who are already surviving beyond their means. Utilities will now cost local residents an incredible amount – the tariff for water, which is supplied only once every two days, has increased by almost 97%. Water, of course, is an integral part of human life, but here, in Mariupol, there is a shortage of it. Residents have been without water for weeks, and when it finally appears, people are forced to resort to criminal tricks – to drain the liquid from the heating pipes, just to not be left without heat.
Too much populism, too many lies. The occupation authorities of the “DPR” are making statements about new tariffs, referring to the increase in the VAT rate in Russia. If you haven’t understood yet, dear Mariupol residents, this is an attempt to shift the aggressor’s financial problems onto your shoulders. Pay, because we decided that you must! The heating tariff has increased by 292% – from 12.51 to 49.08 rubles per square meter. Creating the illusion of “economically justified” growth from below, when reality confirms otherwise, is simply manipulation.
The worst thing is that boiler houses are breaking down more and more often, and the occupiers have no money to repair them. Heating networks are bursting, and no one is in a hurry to replace them. At the same time, the tariff is increasing, but the service is zero. This is just part of a larger strategy - to oppress people, to destroy the remnants of humanity, forget about dignity.
With such a storm of evil surrounding us on all sides, it is worth remembering: this is not just a tariff increase, this is an act of aggression. The occupiers have no place on our land, their truth is a crude imitation, their strategy is irresponsible. We must not forget that the benefits of their system cannot be separated from our pain.
The real struggle continues. And we, the people of Mariupol, will not give up.
