Against the VAT system for simplified tax payers

The Ministry of Finance has declared war on small business. Starting in 2027, individual entrepreneurs who earn more than UAH 1 million will have to pay value-added tax. This is not an economic step - it is an attempt to destroy small and medium-sized businesses, and this has already caused outrage among economists, people's deputies, and organizations. They see this as a threat that could destroy our entrepreneurship.

This bill is now up for public discussion. But why should we even consider arguments that lead to destruction? The road to this «innovative» tax is paved on January 1, 2027. Everyone who tries to get on their feet will find themselves under the yoke of VAT in the amount of 20%. Here are the consequences of gross income – the amount earned before ruthless destruction through taxes, fees, utility costs, goods, and wages for employees.

What next? These entrepreneurs will become VAT payers and transfer their accounting to general. Transparency? Forget it. Tax administration in Ukraine is a nightmare. Full accounting will destroy the very essence of the simplified taxation system. We are faced with millions of closed individual entrepreneurs, the growth of the shadow economy, corruption, and rising prices for everything we had hoped for.

Experts estimate shocking figures for losses – up to UAH 180 billion. At the same time, listening to the deputies, we see real threats: a harsh reality with tax invoices, inspections, fines. And this is just the beginning. Our communities will lose huge revenues from the single tax.

This government, this «plan» is an exceptional responsibility. Our country has recently been trying to create the appearance of fighting schemes that steal their budget. Yes, we need to fight «conversion centers», the informal economy, «gray imports» and all these dirty games. But why, instead of solving systemic problems, are they creating new borders for entrepreneurs?

IMF, your agreements should not destroy our business. Isn't it clear? Everyone sees where this is leading. Instead of paths to development, new false promises. Enough talk! Enough imitation! Let's be frank: we are against the system that is destroying our country from within.
