The Verkhovna Rada is meeting on Saturday, December 27. Unacceptable, you might say? And yes, because our parliament usually works from Tuesday to Thursday. But this Saturday is a real event. We are going for radical changes. The issue for which the deputies gathered is the renaming of the “kopeck” to the “step”. This is not just a formality – it is a historical legacy. 241 deputies voted for this change. Another question: why so few?
Forget about the everyday. We are going to fight for the truth. Last Thursday, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a decision to change the name of the coin. The de-Russification team shouts: “Old symbols – away!” 264 deputies supported this decisive step. Among the initiators is Ruslan Stefanchuk. He knows that the basis of our future is the rejection of imperial terms. It is time to remember that the “step” is already part of our culture.
This is not just a renaming, but an act of resistance! We are breaking ties with the empire and its legacy. “Shag” is a term that has been heard in our history, and it is time for it to return! Remember, in 1918-1919, coins with denominations from 10 to 50 shags were in circulation. Are we ready to take history into our own hands again?
The system wants to keep us in the old illusion, but we say “no”. And the transition to a new name does not require additional costs. The pennies and the shags will rotate together, but it is only a matter of time. They die, and we live.
In the named artificial world, there are about 14 billion kopecks in our hands. But this is not the end! The National Bank is already planning to mint only coins with a denomination of 50 shags. Why? Because we are abandoning the name that weighs on our hill.
A system that is not ready for change will be destroyed. The choice has already been made, and the echo of a new sound is thundering in the walls of parliament. True independence is raging, and we are claiming our right to the new!
