Money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine: our priority, their excuses

“"European Solidarity" is pushing the parliament to action. We can no longer tolerate indifference to our military. The Rada must allocate 68 billion hryvnias to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, otherwise it will be another irresponsibility in times of war. Volodymyr Zelensky, dialogue with the parliament is not a whim, it is a duty!

Iryna Gerashchenko, co-chair of the faction, breaks the silence: “Today begins the last plenary week of 2025, and our parliament is obliged to settle accounts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Payments to the military have not increased by a single hryvnia during the four years of the war.” Can officials, with their personal expenses, distort the importance of the security forces? Yes, when the hole in the defense budget is at the level of 350 billion hryvnias!

Sponsoring our own ambitions is not about us. We, the “EU”, propose to redirect funds to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We have increased our salaries, but our military remains without proper funding. Repairing roads in the rear? Unacceptable! Logistics for the army should come first!

We demand support for the brigades, because this initiative has already proven its effectiveness. Why are almost 200 billion from the reserve fund being spent on “populist initiatives” instead of going to the front? Telethons with political censorship instead of real support for the military are a resounding failure!

Gerashchenko points to the problem with the Druzhba oil pipeline. Russia earns billions on blood, and we are playing into it. The resolutions have been pending for a long time, and we have not received any signals from Moscow about peace. If it is not ready to stop the fighting, we are obliged to act to strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine!

And so, we call: either negotiations with the president, or the continuation of the exclusion of the parliament from the process. When the Western media knows about everything before our parliament, this is a mockery! To remain silent is a crime!

Our position is clear: we are in favor of imposing specific obligations on the authorities to support our military, who are fighting for our independence. It is time to act, without compromise, without waste!
