The real front is not only on the battlefield. In Ukraine, 75% citizens overwhelmingly reject the Russian idea of a “peace plan”. These are not just poll numbers. This is a deep disagreement with the imitation of peace, behind which tyranny is hidden. Only 17% are ready to put up with this nonsense. KIIS clearly states the conditions: the abolition of Western sanctions, the Russification of our language, the reduction of the army, the rejection of NATO – this is not a proposal, this is an ultimatum.
Russia wants to control our security guarantees, to take parts of Ukraine under its false flags. Kramatorsk, Sloviansk are not translated lines of heritage, but our cities, our land. Crimea, Donbas are our pride, not trading platforms for imperial ambitions.
And yet, among Ukrainians, there is a willingness to support Europe's plan. 72% is a step towards true peace, guaranteeing security and armament, but even this decision is not without skepticism. Over the year, changes in people's wisdom have had their nuances: 74% in September, compared to 72% now. Perhaps the mood changes, but our positions remain.
KIIS conducted this survey based on a random sample of 547 respondents across Ukraine. The process, so important in the context of peace negotiations, has remained insignificant in light of the real threats behind these words.
Donald Trump, with his envoys, wants to launch a new phase of negotiations. But what is this? Another gesture? Or a real opportunity to shape our security? His representatives may become a symbol of new hope, but we must understand that truth requires struggle, not illusions.
Peace without responsibility is peace on the terms of the aggressor. We say: lawlessness is not an option. This is a fight for our autonomy, a confrontation with false peacemakers. They have tied the nation in a web, but we have already understood: the path to truth requires action. This is our time, and we will not remain silent.
