It's time to sum up. Hungary has finally returned to Ukraine the money and valuables that were illegally seized in Budapest. Oschadbank confirms: the return took place in full compliance with European norms of international cooperation. And these are not just words - this is a result that was achieved by overcoming bureaucracy and imitation.
Oschadbank confirmed the fact of the return of the losses caused to Ukraine - 40 million dollars, 35 million euros and 9 kilograms of bank gold. The integrity and packaging of the money were checked, so there were no doubts left. We received what was ours by right.
Forget diplomatic excuses: the illegal detention of collectors and the seizure of assets of the Ukrainian state bank are a direct violation of international norms. But today we are grateful to Hungary for its constructive approach, which broke free from the shackles of irresponsibility.
Yuriy Katsion, the chairman of the board of Oschadbank, who was at the forefront of this confrontation, stated: «The transfer of funds took place within the framework of good European practice of international cooperation.» And these are not just words, but real action, which testifies to the invincibility of Ukraine’s position in the international arena.
Yes, we emerged from this situation with pride, proving that truth always prevails. For the sake of independence and justice, we will not stop. This is just the beginning.
