The conflict in the Middle East is turning into a raging catastrophe that is shaking the foundations of our world. António Guterres, the UN Secretary-General, speaks unequivocally about the risks that not only hang over the region, but also threaten the entire planet. The war has been going on for two months, and every day brings new human suffering. A real hell is unfolding before our eyes, and we, as a global community, stand on the brink of an even greater war. Guterres emphasizes again and again: collective irresponsibility, unbridled aggression and disregard for human life have consequences.

Against this background, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as the consequences of its blockade, is felt by the whole world, but, in particular, the most vulnerable will suffer the most. If the “drums of war” do not fall silent, escalation will only aggravate the situation. Peace is the only possible solution, the honor and dignity of all states must be preserved. When will the US and Israel finally understand that a war that tears apart lives must be stopped? Iran must also realize its responsibility for striking its neighbors! It is time to speak the truth without embellishment, to act decisively, despite fear and lies. We are all part of this global conflict, so why not follow the path of peace when this is the only way out?

The situation in the Middle East remains tense. As reported, Saudi Arabia has already launched a new rail freight corridor to cope with the consequences of the blockade. The 1,700 km long volume routes provide access to markets. And in the world, oil prices are rising rapidly, with the feeling of the possibility of a new escalation inevitable.

The world is on the brink of collapse. It shouldn't be like this!
