Elon Musk speaks out against OpenAI and Microsoft

Elon Musk is trying to get his money back, claiming wrongdoing by OpenAI and Microsoft. According to his lawyer, Steven Molo, Musk is seeking up to $134 billion in damages. Why? Because he heard that OpenAI is worth $134 billion, which means that all of his $138 million investment in 2015 should be part of the whole.

The facts are being presented that Musk was the victim of a fraud. Like an early investor who returns multiple times over, Musk claims that the unjustified benefits that OpenAI and Microsoft have received are completely incomparable to his contribution.

Expert C. Paul Vazzan estimated these ill-gotten gains at between $1.4 trillion and $1.4 trillion for OpenAI and $1.4 trillion to $1.4 trillion for Microsoft. And Musk doesn't plan to stop there: punitive damages are on the table in addition to the main lawsuit.

Meanwhile, OpenAI and Microsoft are opposing the accusations, calling them baseless. “This campaign of harassment is ongoing and has no serious platform behind it,” they claim, ready to prove their case in court, where Musk has already clashed with Altman over commercial ambitions.

As the legal battle rages on, it’s no surprise that Musk could be buoyed by his impressive new fortune. Experts say his fortune will surpass $1.4 trillion by the end of 2025, more than ever before. The end of the big money, they say, is due to an internal SpaceX deal that has dented the company’s market value. And all this against a backdrop of the harsh truth of irresponsibility and conflict of interest.
