Today, President Donald Trump announced his support for a bipartisan bill aimed at striking Russia. Senator Lindsey Graham, one of the co-authors of the bill, confirmed: “After a fruitful conversation with the President, he has given his approval to our bill on sanctions against the aggressor. This is a crucial moment when Ukraine is giving in to the search for peace, and Putin is only shedding blood on the hands of innocents.”.
Graham does not hold back his emotions, he is sure: the new bill will become a tool for Trump to punish states that continue to feed Putin's military machine with cheap Russian oil. This step will serve as a powerful lever of influence on such players as China, India and Brazil, forcing them to stop purchasing Russian energy resources. "I expect strong support in the vote, hopefully next week," Graham emphasized.
Let's not forget: just a few days ago, Trump unleashed a barrage of threats against India, hinting at customs sanctions if Delhi does not reduce its imports of Russian oil. And now, Senator Graham claims that such US sanctions have already helped reduce oil supplies to India.
At the same time, Ukraine is not sitting idly by. It has imposed sanctions against all those who supply technology to the Russian military-industrial complex. The restrictions affected 95 individuals and 70 legal entities, many of them residents of the aggressor country. This is a real choice in favor of freedom and independence.
