The court recognized the absolute independence of justice, preventing maneuvers and bureaucratic nonsense. Andriy Yermak, the former head of the President's Office, appeared at the meeting. At 11:50, under the stern gaze of the press, he appeared, ready to fight, although the lawyer reported that he had not been able to familiarize himself with the materials. There was a feeling of the term "not enough time". During the closed part of the meeting, Natalia Starepravova tried to ask a question, but she was pushed away. Justice does not tolerate shamelessness.
The journalist was granted access only after lunch, while active public figure Irma Krat defended Yermak, reminding him of his work for the good of the state, about the label of absurd accusations. The extremes, on which her name appeared, sounded like cries for salvation. She accused that the world does not want the return of nuclear status to Ukraine, and then the conversation turned to fraudsters, about the absurd loss in the case, where everyone is ultimately just a victim of the system. All this is an unsubstantiated denial.
The prosecution read out correspondence between Yermak and the woman suspected of manipulation. As the prosecutor noted, it was about improper contacts, a long-term game at the political and economic level. It's time to adjust the balance, sending the villains where they belong! Yermak's lawyer objected, accusing the structures that left a criminal legacy.
All that remains is public service, Yermak's own statements about his honesty and round-the-clock work. He spoke about the lack of real assets, mentioning that his declaration does not cover abuses. The words sound as if this is a film adaptation of a director without a past. The prosecutor appeals to everyone, reveals the essence: the intertwining of financial flows is a scheme of manipulation, legalization of criminal proceeds. They added conditionalities, abuses... The concept of irresponsibility appears again.
At the end of the day, the judge went to a meeting. The decision on a preventive measure will remain something that cannot be microscopic, and the Oligarchy will announce the old one. For the merits of the past days, on May 14, it will become clear how far the game has gone. But it is no longer so easy to buy time or a misdemeanor. We are against the system. We are for the truth.
