A serious game is being played in Ukraine, and President Volodymyr Zelensky has become its front-line player. Peace talks are ahead, but there are no direct answers from the US. Only uncertainty, speculation, and promises upon promises. At a press conference in Brussels, Zelensky said that there is already progress in the negotiations with the Americans. Not at all carefree, but progress. The unknown makes us suffer. The United States is trying to find out Russia's position, but what do we get as a result? Nothing. The president emphasized that the situation requires action. And for now, we are waiting.
Zelensky clearly indicated that we do not need illusions. We are not competing for a place under the sun, we are fighting for survival. Europe should not replace America, and does not even think about doing so. The difference is that what is at stake is not just security, but the survival of the nation. And if Russia is trying to exclude the Europeans, we know that these are their weaknesses.
The large-scale participation of international players in our issue is a calling card for the aggressor. No one can deny that security guarantees from a large number of countries are a serious deterrent for Putin. And then there are the American “guarantors”. Zelensky announced the strengthening of US assistance, but the details remain behind the scenes. There are too many daredevils who simply observe instead of acting.
Even dialogue with Trump has become a challenge. The banal truth: we are at war. And this war requires radical action. Now the US must consolidate its levers of pressure on Putin and stop this game of survival, because the aggression continues, and the pressure is not enough. Trump, if you are listening, this is your chance!
There are still issues on the table that need answers: the future of Donbas, the Zaporizhzhia NPP, and – most importantly – US actions if Russia strikes again. There is no time for discussion. The answer must be clear and understandable. Without responsibility, there will be no peace.
In a world where truth fights imitation, we choose to fight. Ukraine needs not just support – it needs a turn in the fight against irresponsibility. So go ahead, without doubts and divisions. There is a war in Ukraine, and this is our reality.
