Among the Ukrainians who were returned from captivity were 15 people who had been sentenced to life in prison by Russian courts. They became a symbol of the tragedy, indicating the unprecedented cruelty and irresponsibility of the enemy. These men endured the unthinkable, but their names are still chained to the shameful stages of repression.

Among the returnees are soldiers who defended our land, including the defenders of Mariupol, representatives of the Ground Forces, and military personnel from various directions: Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions. They are not just numbers in statistics - they are living stories intertwined with grief and courage.

These heroes are now receiving medical care. But their health is poor, and this only emphasizes the cost of this ruthless war. Most of them need rehabilitation. Problems with the musculoskeletal system, mental trauma are the consequences of prolonged isolation from normal life. More than three years in captivity is a time that does not pass without a trace.

Today, more than ever, we must remember these 157 heroes who have returned. This is the first exchange in more than four months, and it carries a hidden message: we do not forget. Even those who were thought dead.

This is a show of strength and indomitability. That is why we are here, to stand up for the truth. To act against a system that is trying to destroy our people. We are a nation that does not bend, through the struggle between truth and half-truth, between hope and hopelessness.
