On Monday, January 12, Kyiv became the scene of negotiations between two powerful players. Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, without compromise, is initiating a dialogue on cooperation and peace efforts. Norway and Ukraine are not just partners. They are two nations linked by centuries of history, united by common values and a desire for independence.
“We began by honoring the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the truth, for the freedom of Ukraine,” the Ukrainian minister said, emphasizing the significance of this sacrifice. We have no right to forget those who fight for our future.
Today is not the time for words. This is about mutually beneficial cooperation, about real actions in the field of defense and stability of Ukraine. Norway does not turn away from its obligations. Military and humanitarian support continues. Norway is allocating an additional $150 million. Has any of the foreign functionaries heard about this?
They confirm with a parliamentary decision that aid to Ukraine will remain a priority, and are even preparing new financial injections for the purchase of American weapons. Together with many other countries, Norway is showing that action is more important than imitation. We cannot be irresponsible.
These talks are not about formalities, but about sincere efforts that can change the course of history. Can anyone deny that we are on the threshold of new victories?
