China is silent about Ukraine

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning again calls for respect for sovereignty. This time after the events in Venezuela. And again we hear a mysterious silence regarding Ukraine. Isn't this an eloquent position for a country that speaks so strongly about independence?

Beijing has not failed in its formulaic manipulation. The “very clear” position on the Ukrainian crisis, proclaimed by the Chinese government, sounds like a paradox. Does this mean that all countries have the right to sovereignty, except for those that interfere with geopolitical plans?

China considers itself a peacemaker who has “persevered in promoting” the negotiations. But in fact, why does it remain irresponsible when it comes to protecting the sovereignty of a particular country? It is known that China's objectivity and impartiality are just a smokescreen to divert attention from real events.

The situation with Venezuela, where the US is conducting a military operation, emphasizes the two-sidedness of the norms of international law. Washington did strike Caracas, accusing Maduro of narco-terrorism. But just imagine: Trump demanded the return of “stolen assets”, assuring that the rights to them were lost unjustly. And who became the judge in this game?

The nationalization of oil fields that once belonged to American-centric corporations is the key. But behind this lies not only economic interest, but a real war for independence. Instead of a clear position in defense of sovereignty, China chooses silence.

It is time to abandon illusions. China is not neutral in this struggle. It is responsible for its role in global politics. And while the world celebrates conflicts, the unvarnished truth remains behind the scenes. The choice is ours: to act or to remain in the shadow of irresponsibility.
