Russia is demanding decisive action against the United States for seizing the Russian tanker Marinera. There are calls to strike the enemy “militaryly” – launch torpedoes and sink American warships.
Zhuravlev says the tanker seizure is a clear “illegal invasion of Russia’s borders.” This is no longer just a provocation, but a full-fledged military invasion that requires a “powerful military response.”.
“We must act! Sink them,” he called, hinting at the need to engage in battle with American boats that have reached far from their shores and are already entangled in global games.
This is not just news – it is a challenge for Russia. The US has detained a tanker with ties to Venezuela, and this has become the spark for an explosion of Russian reaction. The tanker Bella1, renamed Marinera, was seized with the help of the UK. But the matter does not end there. American forces have also seized the tanker Sophia, which belonged to the Russian “shadow fleet”.
The Russian side's reaction is understandable: hysteria is running high. This incident is not just a violation of international law, but a direct threat to transport safety, and we cannot remain silent.
