The court gave a fresh signal - anti-corruption legislation is still alive, and they are not joking with it. The chairman of the Brovary district council and his deputy are not just officials, they clearly showed that the old rules have not disappeared in Ukraine. They switched to open voting for their own bonuses and allowances, challenging the principles of honesty. On Monday, December 15, the NACP reminded of this game - the Brovary city district court ruled: they are guilty of corruption offenses.
The spirit of administrative responsibility is already in the air. The court adhered to the facts: both officials acted in an obvious conflict of interest. They shamelessly violated the norms of the law “On Prevention of Corruption” and “On Local Self-Government in Ukraine”, voting for their personal benefits. In their hands is a complete illusion of power, but reality leaves its mark: administrative fines and a black mark in the registers of corrupt officials are already waiting.
Let us not forget: over the past 10 years, more than 32 thousand people in Ukraine have found themselves in a cycle of responsibility for their actions. However, here they are - those who consider themselves untouchable. Elder corruption continues to decrease, but not as quickly as we need. So we, the people who seek the truth, must stand on our criminal lips. And demand justice without compromise!
