And now the moment has come when the supermarket chain "Arsen" drops its mask. Governments are playing a big game, and "Arsen" is embarking on the path of completely closing all its stores in Ukraine. This is not just a decision, it is a strategic departure dictated by an ugly reality. The company's press service makes a certain routine out of this, not trying to monitor the audience's reaction.
This is the end of not only the Arsen stores. Other brands, Fresh, Soyuz, and Kvartal, are also going into oblivion. The omnipotent system is destroying not only business, but also the hopes of consumers. Doing retail business in our time is like rotting in the barracks of an old system that doesn't know where to move next.
«We want to throw the legal right into battle» – this is how Mykhailo Veselsky sees it all, who, according to him, is firmly confident in the company’s financial stability. Obviously, this is not about stability for employees, but about beautiful words behind which plans unknown to ordinary people are hidden.
Of course, this is not without statements that new market operators will appear in store locations, properly disguised as "the best". This is not about independence, but about the creation of a new imitation of comfort and high service for customers. And what will come of this? What, in the end, will part of the team get? Undefined opportunities and new chances for a dead end.
However, not everything is so hopeless. The company's humanitarian and social activities during the war are mentioned. Huge sums were poured into the Radovel project. But where does this lead? What is the value of this humble gesture compared to the closure of Arsen's 24-year history?
The last six stores remain in Lviv, and as many as three in other cities. Soon, on May 31, 2026, it will be time to say goodbye, because the basis for a physical presence in this reality becomes ridiculous.
«"Arsen" is not just a business. It is a reflection of an entire generation. Misunderstandings: about people, about the situation, about life. And at the same time... "planned departure for new winds" instead of action. Behind a simple decision lies disastrous irresponsibility.
